Hello! January sure has flown by and the FCE team is still working hard to engage you in all the important issues - find out more below.
Joining our Board:
Fife Centre for Equalities is seeking new members to join our Board of Trustees. No previous experience is required but must have a commitment to strong governance and inclusive equality.
FCE Roundtable Discussion Human Rights and the Scottish Parliament:
Save the date! We will soon be hosting a Roundtable Session on Human Rights, aimed at anyone who has lived experience of fighting for their rights. Don't worry, you don't have to be an expert in equality and human rights law to join in. The points raised in the discussion will be submitted to the Equalities and Human Rights Committee of the Scottish Parliament.
The event is being held on 28 Feb 2018 at 16 East Fergus Place, Kirkcaldy, KY1 1XT, from 13:00 to 15:00.
Fife Carer's Strategy (2018-2021) Consultation:
Fife Council are looking to hear what matters and makes a difference to you as a carer, so that you can flourish and feel in control.
All the information and responses collected will go towards developing a carer's strategy that enables carers to provide the vital role they play within communities.
You can find the consultation by clicking the link here.
Lunchtime Equality Workshop:
The Living Wage Foundation has found that women make up 62% of those earning less than the living wage, come along to our lunchtime equality workshop and find out more on Gender Pay Gap Reporting and also how the Equality Act 2010 applies to you and your organisation.
Our workshop will be taking place on 21 Feb 2018, from 12:00 to 13:30 at 16 East Fergus Place, Kirkcaldy KY1 1XT.
Thank you for your time.
