New data protection laws coming into place on 25 May 2018

We really can't stress enough the importance of the new data protection laws coming into place on 25 May 2018 - just a few weeks away!

Every single third sector organisation must take steps before 25 May to ensure compliance.  Massive fines and the ability for people to directly sue could await those who breach the law.

We've already trained over 100 people on the key implications and considerations for ensuring compliance.  Feedback has been excellent but every organisation needs to be aware and do certain things before the end of May.

We've put some helpful links on our website (www.fifevoluntaryaction.org.uk/gdpr) for those who want to read up themselves.  You don't have to attend our training but it's a great opportunity to hear from a couple of experts and ask some questions!

We've organised 2 further sessions in April in Kirkcaldy - one during the day and one during the evening (details below).  Please try to attend - not being aware of the requirements will not go down well if you are found to be in breach!

We also mention some of the other training we're organising over the next few weeks, so please have a look.

All of the sessions below are on our website, where you can book your place online at any time.

For a full list of upcoming training sessions, including the many sessions being delivered by organisations across Fife, please visit our Training & Learning page.

Remember, you can call us up during normal working hours to discuss any of our training sessions - 0800 389 6046.

If there's anything you think we should be offering to the sector in Fife then please do get in touch - we'd love to hear from you.

All the best,
The Team at FVA.
