scheme officers a limited number of free A rated appliances to customers, which includes washing machines, cookers and fridges.

I get my Gas and Electric at present from SSE and I have applied for and got £140 off my electricity bill under the Warm Home Discount Scheme.

I recently received a letter from SSE say that I had been successful in getting Warm Home Discount Scheme and that I might also be eligible for their Free Appliance Scheme which is run in conjunction with Charis Grants. This scheme officers a limited number of free A rated appliances to customers, which includes washing machines, cookers and fridges.

If you do not have one of these appliances or if yours is broken or over 10 years old this scheme offers a free replacement.

To find out more about the scheme and make an application please visits either of the following websites;

We Offer Help When You Need It Most

If you are experiencing financial difficulties, Charis may be able to help. Our schemes provide financial assistance as well as essential household items.

We also administer Warm Home Discount schemes – to sign up please contact your energy supplier.

The schemes operate within a ‘shared programme’, with a single application form and assessment process. Supporting documentation that must be provided under the guidelines for each scheme are detailed on the application forms.

Charis will automatically identify if you are eligible for help from any other scheme it administers, offering you maximum support.

So I thought others might be interested in finding out if they might be able to for a grant for Free Appliance, so that why I have added the above information.
